Job Summary

Helping to achieve Savers' objectives includes guiding drivers in the proper unloading of donations onto carts in the warehouse, categorizing soft versus hard goods and separating large items and furniture, weighing carts for accuracy, organizing full carts within the warehouse, completing route paperwork meticulously with details of weights and truck inspections, loading trailers following precise Savers guidelines, maintaining detailed records of product weights and types during trailer loading, aiding in the daily stock counting and input. Additionally, involving in loading and unloading trucks for store transfers is a crucial aspect of supporting Savers.

Roles and Duties:

• Executes truck/trailer loading and unloading in compliance with management guidelines
• Piles crates and parcels onto wheeled carts to check their mass
• Pile up big items in assigned spot
• Position the furniture in the designated space
• In charge of keeping aisles and pathways clear and clean of any clutter.
• Employ a calculator effectively to deduce or include tare weights from loaded product carts for the calculation of net weights
• Note down the cart numbers, weights, and duration for unloading in the driver's route paperwork
• Provide all essential information in the Savers Delivery Reports
• Maintain a regular inventory count and document the stock levels in the warehouse and trailers in the correct format
• Conducts examinations on forklifts to ascertain they meet Savers' guidelines and are in accordance with state laws concerning safety and operational standards.
• Fulfill other responsibilities as delegated, such as managing the upkeep of office spaces and washrooms

Qualifications:

• Understanding of OSHA, state, and Savers safety standards and obligations is crucial for compliance in the workplace
• Demonstrated organization skills
• Skill in operating a forklift
• Skill in expressing thoughts and ideas through spoken and written communication
• Managing numerous incoming and outgoing truck deliveries concurrently
• Proficiency in generating delivery records and cargo documentation
• Skill in comprehending guidelines provided in written, verbal, diagrammatic, or timetable structures
• Skill in organizing tasks based on importance, fulfilling time constraints while being flexible, and managing various duties with little guidance
• Capacity to focus on specifics with precision.
• Capacity to intermittently lift items up to 70 lbs
• The skill to operate a pallet jack by either drawing or propelling it in a specific direction
• Skill in shifting or maneuvering loaded carts onto the scale to determine weight
• Proficiency in performing tasks in warehouse conditions that may involve extreme temperatures
• Continuously standing, walking, bending, and lifting are necessary to accomplish daily tasks without pause

Education and Experience:

• Completion of high school education or a comparable credential is a significant academic achievement
• Having prior dock or warehouse experience is beneficial
• Forklift training certification
• It is essential to follow the appropriate guidelines and strategies when lifting in order to minimize the risk of harm
