Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring quality across team/domain-specific applications through software/web testing, evaluating development tasks, and executing test strategies. This role involves analyzing requirements, developing test plans, and maintaining test documentation to support debugging and software modifications. Collaborates with various teams to ensure successful software implementation and system integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute software test strategies, plans, and scripts.
  • Validate functional, integration, system, and acceptance test plans.
  • Develop and oversee project test cases, scripts, and QA documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized QA policies and software quality assurance best practices.
  • Analyze test dependencies, including QA environments and deployment plans.
  • Participate in requirement gathering sessions to assess testability and design clarity.
  • Manage defect lifecycle and ensure traceability of test cases to requirements.
  • Coordinate with developers to resolve defects and ensure smooth software deployment.
  • Oversee QA environments, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in QA procedures.
  • Mentor and support junior QA team members.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of HP ALM, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar test tools.
  • Experience with SDLC, SOA, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience in QA teams following agile processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of software configuration management and build tools.
  • Minimum 4 years of software/hardware quality assurance experience.
  • Experience testing POS applications and retail software solutions.
  • Knowledge of Toshiba SKY/4690 OS, regression tools, and POS payment systems.
  • Familiarity with PCI, SOX, and data governance standards.
  • SQL query experience with MS SQL Server or DB2.
  • Degree in computer science or a related technical field preferred.

  • Level 1: $32.60/hr - $45.67/hr
  • Level 2: $85,000 - $115,000
  • Level 3: $105,000 - $135,000
  • Level 4: $125,000 - $160,000
