Job Summary

Responsible for the release lifecycle and supporting application teams during deployment of technology for "final mile" delivery of Costco's big and bulky items. This includes planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing the software build process through different stages of the delivery lifecycle. Ensures smooth release execution, process improvements, and optimized release pipelines while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develops operational readiness plans, ensuring teams are prepared for deployment.
  • Collaborates with program stakeholders to obtain final sign-off for releases.
  • Communicates release impediments and defines mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinates resolution of portfolio-related production issues.
  • Provides coaching on release management best practices and processes.
  • Manages release readiness activities and defines success criteria.
  • Maintains relationships with stakeholders, teams, and peers.
  • Identifies and implements automation tools for improved release processes.
  • Facilitates post-release retrospectives and process enhancements.
  • Coordinates release activities across multiple teams and functions.
  • Ensures effective communication of release expectations and milestones.
  • Tracks success metrics and key performance indicators for release quality.
  • Manages release documentation throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Monitors risks and ensures proper controls are in place during release cycles.
  • Plans and coordinates system patching and application upgrades.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience supporting Warehouse Management and Supply Chain applications.
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Java-based microservices applications.
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with global teams.
  • Experience managing infrastructure patching and system updates.
  • Experience working with packaged vendor solutions and managing vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS/Azure) and applications in Windows/Linux environments.
  • Experience with Highjump and/or Descartes packaged solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to supervise teams and guide rollout priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across teams.
  • Familiarity with Change Management tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Experience with repository management tools like Git.
  • Ability to handle shifting priorities and work under deadlines.
  • Mentoring experience for junior team members.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and best practices.

  • Pay Range: $95,000 - $125,000
