Facilitating Savers' mission entails helping drivers in unloading donations onto carts in the warehouse carefully, distinguishing between soft and hard goods, separating large items and furniture, weighing carts accordingly, organizing full carts in the warehouse, completing route paperwork precisely with details of weights and truck checks, loading trailers following specific Savers instructions, tracking product weights and types during trailer loading, assisting in the daily stock counting and record-keeping. Additionally, taking part in loading and unloading trucks for store transfers plays a crucial role in supporting Savers effectively.

Roles and Duties:

  • Completes truck/trailer loading and unloading tasks based on instructions from management
  • Puts various packages and containers onto carts to verify their heaviness
  • Organize bulky belongings in the allocated area
  • Organize the furniture within the designated spot
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and clearance of aisles and pathways from any obstructions.
  • Properly apply a calculator to deduct or add tare weights from packed carts of goods to determine the net weights reliably
  • Record the identification numbers of the carts, their weights, and the time it takes to unload them on the driver's designated route sheets
  • Fill out the Savers Delivery Reports comprehensively with all the necessary information
  • Daily tracking and documenting of the stock available in both the warehouse and trailers according to the required standards
  • Verifies the compliance of forklifts with Savers' policies and state laws related to safety and operational standards.
  • Undertake miscellaneous tasks as needed, such as ensuring tidiness in the office and restroom sections

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA, state, and Savers safety guidelines and prerequisites is vital for maintaining workplace safety
  • Demonstrated organization skills
  • Capability to maneuver a forklift
  • Capability in articulating messages effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Handling multiple incoming and outgoing shipments concurrently
  • Competence in crafting receiving logs and transportation manifests
  • Competence in grasping directions communicated through written, oral, graphical, or organized manner
