Job Summary

Supports Savers vision by assisting drivers to properly unload donations onto carts in the warehouse, separating soft and hard goods, large items and furniture, weighing carts, organizing full carts in warehouse, accurately completing route paperwork with weights and truck checks of empty trucks, loading trailers according to specific Savers guidelines, continuously recording product weights and type while loading trailers, assist with daily counting and entry of Stock on Hand. Assist in loading/unloading trucks for transfers to stores.

Roles and Duties:

  • Adheres to management directions during the loading and unloading of trucks/trailers
  • Organizes boxes, bags, and containers on carts for the purpose of weight confirmation
  • Stack substantial objects in the designated section
  • Set up the furniture in the specified zone
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and absence of debris in aisles and walkways is part of the job description.
  • Accurately utilize a calculator to deduct or add tare weights when measuring the net weights of loaded product carts
  • Track the cart numbers, weights, and unloading timelines in the driver's route records
  • Include all the relevant details in the completion of the Savers Delivery Reports
  • Conduct a daily inventory check and accurately document the stock held in the warehouse and trailers
  • Examines forklifts to guarantee their adherence to the safety and operational regulations outlined by Savers and the state.
  • Be responsible for performing varied duties as instructed, including maintaining the cleanliness of the office and restrooms

Qualifications:

  • Comprehension of OSHA, state, and Savers safety regulations and expectations is key for promoting a secure work setting
  • Demonstrated organization skills
  • Knowledge in driving a forklift
  • Aptitude in exchanging information through speech and written language
  • Balancing several inbound and outbound truck loads concurrently
  • Aptitude for creating reception registers and load documentation
  • Ability to decipher and make sense of instructions given in written, spoken, visual, or planned form
  • Capability to establish priorities, adhere to deadlines with flexibility, and manage multiple tasks efficiently with minimal oversight
  • Ability to delve into particulars with care.
  • Has the ability to occasionally elevate objects weighing up to 70 lbs
  • The dexterity required to move a pallet jack by either pulling it or pushing it with appropriate force
  • Competence in moving or transferring laden carts onto the weighing mechanism for measurement

Education and Experience:
