Job Description:

Demonstrates and provides a unique and enjoyable customer service experience. Processes transactions on designated cash register, offers patrons polite, equitable, personable, and prompt cashier assistance.

Roles and Duties:

• Greets and assists customers and patients to encourage engagement and provide support with products and services. Addresses customer concerns and inquiries effectively to enhance satisfaction levels.
• Demonstrates and communicates effective customer service techniques to team members in order to provide a memorable and positive customer interaction, encompassing personal behaviors like greetings, maintaining eye contact, showing courtesy, and following Walgreens' service principles such as anticipating needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• - Offers clients service that is polite, amiable, quick, and effective.
• Suggesting products for purchase to clients and proposing complementary or upgraded items.
• Operates the designated cash register to record customer transactions, handles cash transactions, and gives back change when necessary. Manages voided transactions, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as required.
• Ensures cleanliness and proper merchandising of counters and shelves, conducts inventory management, and keeps records organized. Receives and tags products according to store manager's instructions or information provided by the shift leader.
• Enforces protocols for safeguarding company assets to detect and reduce financial losses.
• Ensures that all regulations related to controlled items such as alcohol and tobacco are adhered to at the state and local level.
• Builds and upholds various types of displays, such as promotional, seasonal, super structures, and merchandise for sale. Carries out resets and adjustments according to instructions.
• Aids in organizing food products by separating them based on type, such as keeping raw items separate from cooked ones, and arranging them according to established guidelines (like placing raw and frozen meats on lower shelves).
• Demonstrates familiarity with store systems and equipment.
• Offers assistance in the photography section, which involves digital passport image services, printing posters, utilizing a creative machine, and recommending promotional photo items.
• Assumes the responsibility of managing online order pickups, overseeing orders in Picture Care Plus, fulfilling orders by selecting items, and delivering orders to customers upon their arrival at the store.
• Helps with outdoor and indoor upkeep by maintaining a clean and well-organized store environment.
• Adheres to all organizational guidelines and protocols; fosters positive interactions with colleagues.
• Carries out specific projects and additional duties as required.

Training:

• Participates in training sessions and fulfills PPLs as instructed by the Manager or designated by the corporate entity.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English, encompassing reading, writing, and verbal communication, is essential
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, such as evenings and weekends, is necessary
• Looking for a minimum of six months of prior retail experience.
• It is preferred that candidates have previous employment background at Walgreens.
• Desire to possess proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking skills, excluding Puerto Rico
• Flexibility in working schedule, such as availability for evening and weekend shifts, is necessary.
